HXK Cultural Centrе has more than 40 years of history and is a well-known hub for culture and arts in the city of Burgas' downtown. In 2019, reconstruction began and transformed the center into a modern and functional art space.

The challenge was to design a complete wayfinding system in line with the new branding that blends in with the already familiar environment of the center. Another challenge was to update the logo to a more modern, Bulgarian Cyrillic form and to bring together a series of diverse elements. To do that, an iconography system and informational grids were developed that are easy to scale, group, and unify. The pictograms and pattern are based on a preserved exterior bas-relief, part of the original building built in 1975.
