The Coalition for the Homeless is the oldest not-for-profit advocacy group focused on homelessness in the US. Their annual fundraiser Artwalk NY brings together artists, art lovers, and other compassionate New Yorkers to celebrate the role of “artist-as-activist” and to raise awareness about the issues of homelessness, poverty, and social justice in the city.
